What is an "Effective Communicator?"
A “Portrait of a Graduate” is a vision developed with input from teachers, families, students, and community members. It identifies the skills and attributes our students need to succeed in school and beyond.
This month, we celebrated students in 3rd - 5th grades who have exhibited the qualities of an "Effective Communicator." Effective Communicators are articulate individuals who actively listen, clearly express ideas verbally and in writing, engage constructively in discussions, and demonstrate effective speaking, critical thinking, and collaborative skills. Congratulations Panthers!

What is Portrait of a Graduate?
The concept of a "Portrait of a Graduate" has emerged as a guiding framework, shaping the goals and outcomes we aspire for our students. It is more than academics; it is meant to encapsulate a vision for holistic student development.
A Portrait of a Graduate is a collective vision crafted by educational stakeholders, outlining the skills, attributes, and knowledge that students should possess by the time they graduate. It transcends traditional academic benchmarks, encompassing a broader set of competencies essential for success in the 21st century.
A Portrait of a Graduate emphasizes holistic development, preparing students with critical thinking, creativity, communication skills, and social responsibility. It ensures students are adaptable to a rapidly changing world, ready for diverse career paths, and equipped with global awareness and empathy, fostering responsible and compassionate citizens.
