Each month, two students per grade are honored as Students of the Month for going above and beyond demonstrating our PRIDE values—Perseverance, Respect, In Control, Dependability, and Effort.
This past month’s focus was Perseverance. As part of our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program, staff teach and recognize positive behaviors that create a supportive and predictable learning environment.
Students earn PRIDE tickets when they display these behaviors, which can be entered into raffles for fun prizes like cuddle time with therapy dogs Ozzie and Oakley or a token for the book vending machine. Those who go above and beyond are celebrated as our Students of the Month.
